Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress who is best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. Her career began as an actress in theatre before going on to appear in many television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also received a number of awards. In 1995, she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Coming to her movie career she is renowned for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her part as a character in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
