Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multicultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. Madekwe is English but her father was Nigerian. She was raised on the South London Council Estate. She went to The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was earned. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school like the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film was her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha in her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the role in the role of Bambi on the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in series two and three. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport for the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. In May 2013 that she'd quit the show after completing a guest episode in the first season of the third. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also played a part with her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Her four older brothers were present as well including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball fields because her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but was able to dance. As a result, at the age of 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She was the top soloist in major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
